Position:

Donor Center Coordinator

Job Location: Louisville, KY
( On call requirement: Must live within 60 minutes of corporate office in Louisville )

Summary:
Accurately screen potential donors for medical suitability with hospital personnel. Counsel potential donor families regarding their donation options. Obtain informed consent for appropriate organs and/or tissues and conduct medical and social history interview with donor families. Coordinate the logistics of the organ and/or tissue recovery with appropriate personnel.

Performance Standards:

1. Work closely with hospital staff, donor families and KODA clinical staff.
2. Must posses exceptional interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills to interact with a diverse range of people.
3. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks are necessary.


Required Qualifications:

1. Experience with direct patient care such as lab technician, EMT or patient care assistant in a hospital or pre- hospital setting preferred.
2. Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

1. This is a full time position working 12 hour shifts.
2. Work is performed in an office setting.
3. This position requires regular lifting, reaching, bending and walking.
